In the next release, I’ll have a basic foundation for the overworld map up and running. It will be a glorified level select screen, but in the future it will be the hub of all the game’s activities which will enable me to greater expand the breadth of things to do in the game.
I’ll roll this out with a few placeholder levels to give you something to play. You’ll be able to earn some persistent rewards between levels, but I won’t implement saves until that is thoroughly playtested.
Expect the update in a week or so.
